Remembrance Day

A Red Poppy - sign of remembrance for the fallen

At 11:00 am on the 11th November 1918, silence fell upon the Western Front. This called the end of four years of battle. The Western Front is now a resting ground and place of remembrance for those who passed away during the war.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, a two minute silence is held in Remembrance of the ceasefire. This was instituted in 1919 at the commemoration ceremony in London.

As we enter Remembrance day of 2017, let's remember those who've fallen and pay respects to those who risked their lives or loved ones in the fight to resolve conflicts for our Country.
